What to Wear

Our Dress Code

We have a very basic dance attire code of tan and black that helps us not only promote a sense of pride, but also maintain safety in the classroom. We thank you in advance for meeting these standards and know your child will greatly benefit from it.
We suggest that all dance attire be purchased at The Dance-Wear House in Canton or Stage Center in Akron. If you prefer to shop online, we recommend Discount Dance Supply.  Do not hesitate to call with any questions before purchasing.

Girls:

A solid black leotard and tan, footed, non-shimmery dance tights, are required for all classes. Some brands to consider are: Balera, Bloch, BodyWrappers,  Capezio, and Theatricals. Students may wear any color skirt or dance short over top of their leotard.  Hair should be up and out of the dancer’s eyes in a bun, braid, or ponytail.

Dance Shoes:

We do know that some retail stores carry variations of the dance shoes shown, but these are not acceptable for dance class. We want our students to have safe and comfortable dance shoes that allow them the best experience in dancing. All shoes should be purchased to fit, not to “grow into.” Purchasing shoes that are too big can result in injury. Dance shoes should not be worn outside or to play in. Please carry shoes to and from class.

Guys:

Guys are required to wear black warm-up or sweat pants and a plain white shirt.
